Entertainment
Prior Lake citizens enjoy year-round recreation and entertainment activities. The local lakes offer excellent fishing, boating and sailing. Prior Lake is one of the largest lakes (over 1,650 acres) in the Twin Cities area. In addition to its many parks, the City also operates two public beaches on Prior Lake for public enjoyment, one on the north side of the lake at Sand Point Beach, the other in Lakefront Park. Both beaches open around Memorial Day and close around Labor Day. Development of a second youth athletic complex is also under way in order to meet the needs of area youth programs. The people of Prior Lake value their leisure time and no other location in the Twin Cities can maximize that time like Prior Lake!
Prior Lake has other wonderful entertainment and recreation opportunities surrounding the community.
